Maybe You Should Talk To Someone

There are plenty of reasons people consider talking to a Behavioral Health provider.

Maybe you have been feeling overwhelmed. Maybe you are navigating grief, stress, relationships, caregiving, work, family changes, or something you cannot quite put into words. Maybe everything looks fine from the outside, but you have not felt like yourself lately.

Or maybe you have simply found yourself wondering: Should I talk to someone?

You do not have to wait for a crisis to find out.

Mental Health Is Part of Your Overall Health

We often think about healthcare in terms of physical symptoms. We schedule appointments when something hurts, keep up with preventive screenings, and talk to our providers when something does not feel right.

Our mental and emotional health deserve that same attention.

Behavioral healthcare can provide a supportive place to talk about what is happening in your life, better understand your thoughts and emotions, develop healthy coping strategies, navigate difficult transitions, strengthen relationships, and care for your overall well-being.

You also do not need to know exactly what is wrong before scheduling an appointment. Sometimes figuring that out is part of the conversation.

You Do Not Have to Wait for a Crisis

One common misconception about Behavioral Health is that you need to be experiencing a crisis or have a specific diagnosis before seeking care.

You do not.

People seek Behavioral Health support for many reasons, including stress, anxiety, grief, relationships, major life changes, caregiving responsibilities, work challenges, emotional well-being, or simply wanting a safe place to process what is happening in their lives.

Taking care of your mental health can be preventive care, too.

Throughout September, patients who are new to Behavioral Health will receive a Sunshine Swag Bag as a little extra thank you for establishing care and putting themselves on the priority list, while supplies last.
