At Sunshine Community Health Center, we believe that fostering healthy habits starts early. Thanks to grant funding, we were able to support our Northern Valley schools' athletic programs, reinforcing the importance of health, movement, and community wellness.
We partnered with Houston Hawks, Willow Elementary, Su Valley Rams, Talkeetna Elementary, and Trapper Creek Elementary to contribute to their athletic programs and hang banners in their gyms promoting health, wellness, immunizations, and Sunshine CHC as your trusted rural community family health care center.
We’re excited to help the next generation learn the value of staying active and appreciate our local schools for collaborating with us on this initiative!
March Focus: Well Child Checks & A Special Treat for Young Patients
A friendly reminder to parents—March is Well Child Check (WCC) Month at Sunshine CHC! To celebrate families prioritizing their child’s health, all kiddos seen for a Well Child Check this month will receive a cuddly stuffed moose at checkout (while supplies last). Our shipment is on its way, and if they arrive a little late, don’t worry—we’ll be sure to track who is seen so no one misses out on their well-earned healthy habits companion!
Welcoming WIC to Our Communities
We’re also thrilled to welcome WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program) to our communities! This valuable resource provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and access to healthy foods for families. We encourage mothers and caregivers to reach out and learn how WIC can support your family’s well-being.
